Job Summary

The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program. This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing program that is dedicated to eliminating health disparities and achieving health equity for diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the MPH Program, including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and program evaluation.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to advance the program's mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure the program's success and growth.
  • Represent the program at local, regional, and national public health agencies and organizations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community partners.
  • Ensure the program's accreditation and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in public health or a related field.
  • Experience in public health or a related field, with a strong background in program administration and leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Experience with academic program accreditation and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-graduate professional working experience in a public health setting or related field.
  • Experience in course development and instruction, and student mentoring.
  • Peer-reviewed publication record.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of faculty, instructors, staff, and students.
  • Commitment to social justice, inclusion, and diversity.
