Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of family law cases, encompassing divorce, child custody, financial settlements, domestic abuse, and cohabitation disputes.
  • Client Interaction: Offer empathetic and thorough guidance to clients, ensuring they are well-informed about their legal rights and options.
  • Legal Representation: Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Documentation: Draft and review legal documents, including affidavits, witness statements, and agreements.
  • Research: Perform legal research to guarantee the provision of precise and current legal advice.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Family Law Department and other divisions to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal standards and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of family law and associated areas.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise and skills in family law.


Requirements
  • Education: Qualified solicitor holding a current practicing certificate.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in family law.
  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of family law, including recent developments and legislative changes.
  • Client Care: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centered approach.
  • Advocacy: Strong advocacy skills with experience in representing clients in court.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and support junior colleagues.
  • Technology: Proficient in utilizing legal practice management software and other relevant IT tools.
