Job Title: Procurement Leader

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Salary: Approximately £45,000, based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all Supply Chain activities pertinent to your area of responsibility.
  • Creating and implementing strategies that enhance People (Resourcing & Capabilities), Processes, Technology, and Reporting to ensure effective Supply Chain function delivery.
  • Engaging in effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, and stepping in for the Senior Supply Chain Manager as necessary.
  • Managing contracts, including major subcontracts and transactional agreements.
  • Leading a team of procurement specialists.
  • Conducting regular supplier visits.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Project Management.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or MOD sectors.
  • Previous experience in a line management role.

The Electrical IDT Procurement Team:

As a Procurement Leader at BAE Systems, you will play a central role in supporting deployed Supply Chain Professionals, empowering the team through the delivery of People, Processes, Toolsets, and Reporting on the SSNA program. This position operates in a dynamic, commercial procurement environment with diverse development opportunities, collaborating with a varied team to contribute to the UK's National Defence Programme.
