About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Counsellor to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will work in partnership with our schools to provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to children and young people in a therapeutic capacity.
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for children and young people.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of a mentally healthy school community.
Requirements
  • You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions.
  • You will have a strong understanding of child development and the ability to work with children and young people in a therapeutic capacity.
  • You will be able to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with school staff and children.
  • You will be committed to ongoing professional development and be willing to participate in regular supervision and training.
