About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with pupils in KS1 who have Autism and ADHD, providing crucial support and guidance throughout their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support to KS1 students with ASD and ADHD needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement personalized strategies and interventions to meet the student's individual educational and behavioural goals.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and adapt resources and materials to support the student's learning.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Facilitate effective communication and social interactions between the student and their peers, promoting positive relationships and social integration.
- Promote the student's independence and self-confidence, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
- Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD is desirable.
- A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and the school environment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, following the school's policies and procedures.
