Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at Oakmoor Recruitment. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering Maths and English training to apprenticeship learners in the Southampton area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and assessment of English and Maths to individuals and groups of apprenticeship learners.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage learners and promote excellent progress.
  • Work closely with employers in a work-based training setting to deliver Maths and English training that meets their needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.

Requirements:

  • L2 Numeracy and L2 Literacy qualifications.
  • Experience of delivering Maths and English in a previous role to apprenticeship learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for people development and a commitment to delivering high-quality training.
