Role Purpose:

The Market Risk Manager is tasked with identifying, evaluating, and managing market risks linked to the company's trading and commercial operations across various energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Risk Evaluation: Identify and evaluate market risks associated with trading and commercial activities, encompassing commodity price risk, foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and basis risk.

Risk Monitoring:

Risk Mitigation:

  • Formulate and implement strategies to mitigate market risks and safeguard the company's financial integrity.

Policy Development:

  • Assist in crafting and maintaining market risk management policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews of risk management practices to identify improvement opportunities and enhance governance processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with trading, finance, and other departments to align risk management strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide risk management insights and support to trading desks and senior management on market risk issues.

Market Research:

Qualifications:
