Purchasing Manager Job Description

At Jackson Hogg Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to lead our Industrial Indirect Categories team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for strategically managing £150m in spend across various Indirect categories, including MRO, Facilities, and Energy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and process improvements
  • Lead global sourcing projects and manage complex commercial contracts and negotiations
  • Coach and mentor a team of Senior Buyers, Buyers, and Purchasing Administrators to drive best practice and excellence
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and senior management
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement of Indirect Categories
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve business objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
