Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team at our UK manufacturing facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating food packing lines, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate food packing lines effectively, as part of a small line team
  • Carry out and record quality checks at specified intervals, escalating any non-conformances
  • Maintain a safe, healthy and hygienic work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Drive plant key performance indicator (KPI) targets of cost, quality, service, hygiene and safety
  • Take ownership of your zone and the plant in general, ensuring good housekeeping, hygiene and 5s/lean standards are met
  • Use data from Lineview to understand machine performance, identify areas for improvement and implement root cause analysis
  • Work effectively as part of a team, with good communication skills and a strong focus on results

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable but not essential
  • Basic training will be provided, but good numeric and computer skills are an advantage
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, with good communication skills
  • Ability to operate machinery and carry out minor adjustments to machines if required
  • Results-focused, with a strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Strong team player, with a continuous improvement approach
  • Promotes safe working practices
