About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team at SearchData. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly optimized SQL Server databases, including creating stored procedures, functions, and SQL Server Agent jobs.
  • Develop and implement database performance tuning strategies to improve query performance and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to identify and resolve performance issues, providing expert advice on database design and query optimization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies, including full, differential, and log backups.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server technologies and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve database performance and availability.
Requirements
  • Strong practical experience with T-SQL scripting, database design, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Ability to work with large databases (6TB) and partitioning large tables.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with software development teams.
