About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team at Castleholme Lodge, a 20-bed care home providing mental health services for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

As a Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing high-quality care and support to our service users, while also leading and coordinating the quality and management of nursing care and delivery of clinical services.

You will be a natural leader, with a proven track record of leadership skills and experience in a similar environment. You will be able to motivate and support your team, while also making critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivery of clinical services
  • Oversee and provide high-quality care and support to service users
  • Delegate nursing tasks to nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
  • Monitor service users' conditions and respond to changes
  • Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
  • Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • A relevant nursing qualification and NMC registration
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Proven track record of leadership skills
