Leonardo UK Ltd's Trade Compliance team provides Import/Export Control and Trade Compliance services across the UK business units and divisions which cover a diverse range of technically advanced products and services from airborne radar, targeting solutions, infrared detectors, camera systems, cyber- and physical- security solutions, through to the design manufacture and supply of rotary aircraft used for commercial, public utility, security and defence applications.
The Trade Compliance team currently has a vacancy for a Trade Compliance Administrator to support the activities of the Import/Export located in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaising with business to ensure correct and accurate clearance instructions can be issued to agent/import broker
- Instructing freight agent/broker in accordance with business requirements
- Checking customs entries following goods departure and addressing anomalies (with reference to site Trade Compliance lead)
- Addressing any anomalies identified (with reference to site Trade Compliance lead)
- Notifying business of import clearance conditions
General administration support to the site Import/Export Control team, including:
- Preparation of data packs relating to import and export transactions in readiness for internal and external audits, ensuring packs are recorded on company systems in accordance with company procedures
- Assisting with processing and reconciling Freight Forwarder invoices
It is essential that the successful candidate is a proficient user of Microsoft Outlook and competent in all Microsoft packages, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
