Bannatyne Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Manager to lead our team in Newport.

As a Fitness Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the fitness experience for our members. You'll oversee daily operations, manage a team of dedicated professionals, and develop innovative programs that cater to diverse needs.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure exceptional member experiences by overseeing daily fitness department operations and managing duty shifts.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of fitness advisors and personal trainers, driving performance and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage the budget effectively, monitoring expenditures on freelance instructors and adhering to strict fitness standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging fitness programs and classes that cater to a wide range of interests and fitness levels.
  • Conduct regular staff training and professional development initiatives to maintain high service standards.
  • Lead group fitness classes, provide one-on-one training sessions, and conduct personalized fitness assessments.
  • Ensure the fitness area is a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest fitness trends and techniques to offer cutting-edge advice and guidance.
  • Promote Bannatyne's services, special offers, and membership packages to enhance the member experience.
  • Monitor member satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
Your Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 Fitness qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing a team effectively.
  • A good understanding of fitness technology and current trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • A genuine passion for health, wellness, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to build rapport, establish trust, and demonstrate credibility.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications: Level 3 or equivalent Gym Instruction/Personal Training or Group Exercise qualifications (including ETM, Spin etc).
