Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the fitness department, including duty management shifts, to ensure an exceptional experience for all members.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of fitness advisors and personal trainers to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor the budget and review forecasts and expenditures on freelance class instructors, ensuring adherence to specific fitness standards.
- Develop and implement innovative fitness programs and classes that cater to a diverse membership base, staying up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and techniques.
- Conduct regular staff training and professional development to maintain high standards of service, including leading group fitness classes and providing one-on-one training sessions.
- Provide personalized fitness assessments and develop tailored workout plans for members, ensuring the fitness area is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Promote Bannatyne's services, special offers, and membership packages to enhance the member experience, monitoring member satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
- NVQ Level 2 Fitness qualified.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the fitness or wellness industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience of managing a team.
- Good understanding of fitness technology and trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Genuine passion for health, wellness, and customer service.
- Ability to establish rapport, build trust, and demonstrate credibility.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Level 3 or equivalent Gym Instruction/Personal Training or Group Exercise qualified (including ETM, Spin, etc).
