About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our Government Software division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cloud hosting solutions, ensuring service continuity, and contributing to excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Onboarding: Collaborate with project teams to onboard new customers effectively, ensuring a seamless transition to our cloud hosting solutions.
  • Database Administration: Administer and troubleshoot databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Service Desk Collaboration: Work closely with our service desk team to support applications on hosted platforms, providing timely and effective resolutions to customer issues.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices through regular professional development and training.
  • Security Adherence: Adhere to our strict security protocols and policies, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess expertise in back-office and web-based systems, preferably within local government, and have a passion for technology and a willingness to learn new IT skills.
  • Scripting and Web Technologies: Have experience in scripting (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS) and proficiency in web technologies (Apache, IIS) and relational databases.
  • Virtualized Environments: Understand virtualized environments and data centre administration (VMWare), and have experience with ITIL environments and helpdesk tools.
