Job Title: Advanced Pharmacist Clinical Trials

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Pharmacist Clinical Trials to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the set up and running of clinical trials involving medicines, working closely with other members of the site research team and trial sponsor representatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure trials involving medicines are able to run according to study protocol, following established trust policies and procedures and within the guidance of Good Clinical Practice.
  • Work with relevant members of the study site teams, sponsor teams and the pharmacy department to ensure trials are set up and running smoothly.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trial sponsors and other stakeholders to ensure successful trial outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical trial protocols and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on clinical trial procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate pre-registration/trainee year
  • Registered with GPhC
  • Relevant post-graduate or equivalent experience
  • Training certificates in GCP from a recognised organisation, or working towards
  • Clinical Diploma
  • MRPharm Soc
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in hospital pharmacy or research
  • Experience of working with clinical trials
  • Writing reports, guidelines and procedures
  • Audit methodology
  • Minimum of six months hospital pharmacy experience
  • Previous experience of more than one hospital
  • Working in a GMP environment, particularly aseptic services
  • Previous experience of electronic prescribing systems/health record
  • Good clinical knowledge of drugs and therapeutic trends within general
