Job Title: Advanced Pharmacist Clinical Trials

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Pharmacist Clinical Trials to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Pharmacy Clinical Trials Department, you will play a vital role in the management of clinical trials involving medicines hosted at our site.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with relevant members of the study site teams, sponsor teams, and the pharmacy department to ensure trials involving medicines are able to run according to study protocol, following established trust policies and procedures, and within the guidance of Good Clinical Practice.

You will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy and clinical trials, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. You will be able to work well in a team, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the set up and running of clinical trials involving medicines
  • Work with study site teams, sponsor teams, and the pharmacy department to ensure trials are conducted according to study protocol
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice and trust policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical trials policies and procedures
Person Specification
  • Postgraduate pre-registration/trainee year
  • Registered with GPhC
  • Relevant post-graduate or equivalent experience
  • Training certificates in GCP from a recognised organisation, or working towards
  • Clinical Diploma
  • MRPharm Soc
