About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Administrator to join our Energy Codes Team at Gemserv. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our Governance Expertise and ensuring the smooth operation of our committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise agendas and terms of reference for committee meetings, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate pre and post-meeting documentation, including drafting meeting papers and technical meeting minutes.
  • Support the Governance Lead in implementing standardised processes and efficiencies across the different energy Codes.
  • Work alongside other Governance Consultants to provide support to Technical Sub-Committees, coordinating meeting papers and drafting detailed minutes.
  • Prepare papers and slides to support meetings, coordinate risk and issue reviews and updates, and act as a quality gatekeeper.
Requirements
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills with proven ability to manage upwards, and downwards and influence peers.
  • Strive for excellence in work by being methodical, diligent, paying attention to detail, and proactively verifying assumptions.
  • Be able to understand and communicate technical subjects and convey the point concisely.
  • Experience of drafting new and improving existing processes.
  • Be digitally competent and able to present information in its clearest format for the intended audience.
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities, be able to manage time and a varied workload, and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Have experience in UK retail utilities/UK Smart Metering (desirable).
  • University graduate or of graduate-calibre.
  • Have an understanding and experience of industry codes and governance (desirable).
