Job Title: Ecommerce Executive

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Executive to join our team at Japan Centre Group. As a key member of our Ecommerce department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of our online business.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Ecommerce operations, including sales, marketing, and customer service. You will work closely with our Purchasing and Marketing teams to develop and execute digital marketing initiatives, launch company-wide and online exclusive promotions, and plan and execute product launches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales, enhance efficiency, and minimize costs in operations and fulfilment.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage rates for Ecommerce partners, including couriers, SaaS providers, and external agencies/contractors.
  • Lead the Ecommerce team, comprising customer service, digital marketing, stock, and fulfillment, through direct and indirect management.
  • Foster a high-performance team environment through engaged leadership and performance standards.
  • Conduct annual appraisals, handle performance management, and manage staff-related issues professionally.
  • Collaborate with SaaS providers and external developers to ensure the Japan Centre website remains cutting-edge, with cost-efficiency, workflow improvement, user experience enhancement, and site future-proofing.
  • Report to CEOs and Heads on department performance metrics weekly, monthly, and quarterly, including department P&L analysis.
Requirements:
  • A keen interest in the food industry and Japan.
  • Experience in managing or developing an Ecommerce division or company.
  • Sound understanding of digital marketing for B2C.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects of varying sizes simultaneously.
  • Excellent written skills, with native-level English for copywriting and proofreading.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and talent for developing team members.
Desirable:
  • Technical expertise is not mandatory but familiarity with web-based software development, Adobe Creative Suite, or project management qualifications is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Japanese-English translation.
  • Food market experience.
