About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Project Officer to join our team. As a key member of our clinical improvement team, you will play a crucial role in delivering change projects that improve patient outcomes, experience, and access to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clinical, managerial, and operational teams to deliver change projects that align with our clinical strategic objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of service redesign, project management, and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including public health teams, the ICB, and local providers, to deliver improvements for our population.
  • Facilitate meetings and groups to encourage and enthuse others to implement change.
  • Work using your own initiative with minimal direction to deliver projects and achieve goals.

Person Specification

  • Degree or equivalent experience/diplomas.
  • Knowledge and application of a recognised service improvement technique.
  • Evidence of further training/study.
  • Project management experience, including facilitation of meetings and groups.
  • Experience at junior management level, with evidence of leading and implementing change, influencing behaviour, and collaborative working with others.
  • Literate, with report writing skills and experience.
