Quality Systems Engineer Role

At H&T Presspart Blackburn, we are seeking a skilled Quality Systems Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our company's management systems and implementing new or existing standards. This will involve working closely with customers during audits and developing suppliers through on-site audits. Additionally, the candidate will resolve internal/external quality issues through CAPA processes and implement risk management activities during new product introduction or changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the company's Management Systems in accordance with relevant standards, including GMP, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO15378, and IATF16949.
  2. Develop and maintain audit processes, including internal, supplier, customer, and 3rd party audits.
  3. Develop and maintain document and record control systems.
  4. Resolve internal/external quality issues through CAPA processes.
  5. Be involved in NPI, including risk assessment, APQP, PPAP, and process validations.
  6. Support change management processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND/HNC or capable of being developed to this level.

Key Capabilities and Skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant ISO standards.
  • Experience of high-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of the requirements of GMP for Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience of various quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Good level of ability in using various software packages, e.g. MS Applications.
  • Ability to use various types of measuring equipment.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Practical approach, with the ability to relate to all levels in the business and externally.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
