Job Summary:

Samuel Frank Associates is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC Programming: Develop and implement PLC programs using Siemens or Rockwell software, ensuring efficient and reliable control system operation.
  • Automation Expertise: Design and implement automated machinery systems, leveraging your knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practical experience.
  • Functional Design Specifications: Create high-quality functional design specifications for control systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Site-Based Commissioning: Conduct on-site commissioning of control systems, ensuring smooth integration and operation.
  • Project Life Cycle: Manage projects from start to finish, delivering high-quality results and meeting client expectations.
  • Drive Systems Design: Design and implement drive systems, including ac drives, servo drives, and dc drives, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Integration and Testing: Integrate drives with PLC systems and conduct thorough testing and fault finding on existing systems.
  • Control Panel Design: Design and implement control panels, leveraging your knowledge of electrical engineering principles and experience with EPLAN software.

Requirements:

  • Current UK Driving Licence: Possess a valid, clean UK driving licence to facilitate travel to customer sites.
  • Travel: Be prepared for occasional travel to customer sites, including overseas travel on rare occasions.

Working Environment:

As a Control Systems Engineer at Samuel Frank Associates, you will be based in the office for approximately 80% of the time, with regular travel to customer sites for commissioning and project work.
