Job Summary

Reconomy, a pioneering provider of circular economy-focused services, is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join its Reprocessing Division. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expansion in the Commercial and Industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop business partnerships to drive future growth opportunities
  • Leverage relationships with existing customers to grow the Casepak offering
  • Maintain and build relationships with new and existing suppliers to delight and innovate for customers
  • Gather and report on market intelligence to support tendering and negotiation processes
  • Apply commercial acumen to maintain business within set margin/profitability criteria
Requirements
  • Proven track record within the waste industry, with a preference for those with experience in the paper/commodity sector
  • General knowledge of the local authority sector will also be beneficial
  • Passion for reducing waste and knowledge of recovered paper and other recycling material qualities
  • Knowledge of UK and European waste and recycling legislation
  • Business development experience, with a strong understanding of what it takes to grow a business in a competitive environment
Skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to a wide-ranging audience
  • Driven and motivated individual, with a passion for achieving results and building strong relationships and networks
  • IT competence, with the ability to learn specific systems
