Personal Assistant for Independent Living

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and confident individual to join our team as a Personal Assistant for Independent Living. As a Personal Assistant, you will provide support and encouragement to enable our client to live independently and pursue their hobbies and interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and encouragement to enable our client to live independently
  • Accompany our client on social activities and outings, such as swimming and going to the cinema
  • Remind and prompt our client to perform daily tasks, such as taking medication and locking doors
  • Contact our client's parents or doctors if they are not well
  • Participate in gentle exercises with our client at the gym

Requirements

  • Confident and calm demeanor
  • Experience of epilepsy or first aid training an advantage
  • Ability to respect our client's independence and make their own decisions
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Car driver/owner with a clean driving record

Working Hours

4 hours per week, Wednesday 11am-3pm, with some flexibility

Rate of Pay

£11.44 per hour, plus 0.40p per mile for mileage
