Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical CAD Systems Specialist to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our Mechanical Design group, you will be responsible for the administration and support of our MCAD systems, working closely with our global network of mechanical engineers to enhance our Mechanical Design capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • MCAD System Administration: Comprehensive administration and support of MCAD systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Process Improvement: Act as a key player in enhancing our Mechanical Design capabilities, identifying and implementing best practices to simplify business processes across the global network.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build and nurture strong relationships within the organization at all levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Support: Triage and resolve user issues, providing timely and effective technical support to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain up-to-date process and system documentation, developing and delivering training programs to support the adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends, share best practices, and benchmark against other companies and indices to foster innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Business Case Development: Support cost/benefit analysis and develop business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change.
  • Lean/Agile Principles: Apply Lean/Agile principles to drive continuous improvement, ensuring a culture of innovation and excellence within our team.
Qualifications
  • Education: BS/degree or equivalent experience in the field of Mechanical Design.
  • Certification: Certification in Solidworks Professional is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Master-level proficiency in the use and configuration of MCAD and related tools such as Solidworks, NX, DSC ECTR, SAP, Ansys, Mathworks, Capital Harness, IDF files.
  • Product Development: Understanding of product development processes applicable to Mechanical Design.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office tools: Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Soft Skills: Team player with excellent communication skills, problem solver who enjoys tackling complex design challenges, lifelong learner committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and innovator who can think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives to our team.
