About Our Organization
Brighton & Hove Energy Services Co-operative Ltd (BHESCo) is an innovative and growing social enterprise committed to making a meaningful difference in both society and the environment. Our primary goal is to expedite the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions in buildings by designing, financing, and executing low-carbon energy systems for our clients.

At BHESCo, we provide expert advice to clients aiming to minimize their carbon footprint and reduce energy costs through energy-efficient buildings and sustainable, community-owned energy solutions. Over the last eight years, we have successfully completed 59 projects that will collectively reduce CO2 emissions by over 7,500 tonnes throughout their lifespan, resulting in financial savings of £1.7m for our clients. Our diverse clientele includes individuals, property owners, businesses, educational institutions, and local authorities.

The Position

As we grow to meet the increasing demand for our services, we are looking to expand our talented and dynamic team. The Sustainable Energy Technical Advisor role will be crucial within our organization, assisting our lead Engineer in enhancing our technical consultancy services. Responsibilities will encompass recommending appropriate renewable energy systems to help clients meet their goals and overseeing their implementation. A comprehensive understanding of how a building's energy efficiency influences its capacity for renewable technologies is essential, and the Technical Advisor will need to address this when formulating a holistic energy strategy.
