Job Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 2 Patient Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Discharge Waiting Area.
The selected individual will play a crucial role in ensuring patient flow throughout the organization by promoting efficient and effective patient discharges.
Collaborating with the team, the appointee will guarantee safe and timely transfers of patients to the unit, while also enhancing the patient experience through the provision of exceptional care.
You will receive support from, and work closely with, the DWA In Charge and DWA Coordinator.
The Discharge Waiting Area operates around the clock.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the transfer of patients from the primary ward to the Discharge Waiting Area.
- Support the Registered Nurse/AP in the daily operations of the Discharge Waiting Area.
- Ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care while under the supervision of the Discharge Waiting Area team.
