Patient Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Medirest. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our patient dining services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide menus to patients and take orders, addressing any dietary and allergen queries.
  • Prepare and deliver refreshments and meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
  • Clear down ward areas and wash dirty dishes, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Liaise with ward staff to meet patients' needs in a timely manner.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by prioritizing patient needs.

Requirements:

  • Awareness of food and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure, as part of a team, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Comfort in a hospital environment, with patience and understanding when interacting with unwell or distressed patients.
  • Although prior experience is not necessary, a willingness to learn and go the extra mile for patients is essential.
  • This role requires a Disclosure & Barring Service check, which will be covered by the employer.
