Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Palliative Care Nurse to join our team at St Nicholas Hospice Care. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide expert care and support to patients and their families, working in a community setting to deliver holistic palliative care.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Palliative Care Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with palliative needs, working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans, taking into account the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Relevant post-registration experience in palliative care or a related field.

  • A strong understanding of palliative care principles and practices, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
