About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Community Hospice Nurse to join our team at St Nicholas Hospice Care. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide expert care and support to patients and their families, working under the direction of Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic care and support to patients and their families, addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual needs related to a palliative diagnosis.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on symptom management and control.
  • Offer guidance and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in palliative care and related areas.
Requirements
  • Active NMC registration as an Adult Registered Nurse.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Nursing.
  • Evidence of continued professional development in palliative care or oncology.
  • Post-registration experience in palliative care or oncology.
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
  • Driving license and use of own car, with business insurance.
