Legal Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Legal Engineer to drive business transformation and innovation within our IT department.
This role will focus on harnessing technology to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our lawyers and clients, bridging the gap between legal and technical professionals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the relevant priorities and mindset of different groups, providing expertise to deliver solutions and insights that improve legal practice.
The role is fast-paced and varied, involving project management, testing and trialling new products, business process mapping, and identification of technical process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead discovery and business process mapping sessions, compiling information from various sources and outputting business requirements and blockers.
- Analyse legal and business processes, utilising process mapping skills to identify areas for improvement.
- Own and analyse design and requirements through development, testing, training, and business readiness.
- Collaborate with senior management to facilitate agreement on solutions and recommendations.
- Work with lawyers, paralegals, and support teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation.
- Support lawyers in engaging with new suppliers and products, facilitating demos and product pilots.
- Promote and present solutions to the wider firm, including training, demos, and one-to-one support.
- Manage and deliver document automation and AI review projects.
- Drive efficiencies and suggest ways to deliver faster and smarter to unlock value sooner.
- Previous legal knowledge essential, with a legal qualification highly desirable.
- Good understanding of technology and its benefits in a professional services environment.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and contribute to simultaneous projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and articulate legal technology solutions in non-technical terms.
- Knowledge of technology and IT literacy, particularly MS Office and MS Power Platform.
- Experience of or desire to learn legal technology products, including simple coding.
- Logical thinking and attention to detail.
