Associate Director, Project Management

Walker Sime, a renowned construction consultancy, is seeking a talented Associate Director to join its Project Management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth of our commercial residential development service offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of commercial residential development projects, collaborating with the Development team and Joint Venture (JV) partners to ensure successful project delivery, adherence to timelines, and achievement of financial objectives.
  • Contribute to the master planning process, working alongside stakeholders to create visionary town centre developments that blend residential, commercial, and community spaces harmoniously.
  • Act as the third-party liaison, building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and community representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively resolve challenges to ensure successful project completion.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that our developments meet the highest standards of excellence, aligning with company values and industry best practices.
  • Lead and motivate project management team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.

Operational Support:

  • Integral part of the Project Management structure. Support colleagues in the management and control of service line finances, resource planning, and Business Management activities.
  • Collaborate with local communities to understand their needs and aspirations, incorporate their feedback into project plans, and ensure that our developments enhance the quality of life in the surrounding areas.
