Underwriting Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our Property and Casualty division at Get-Recruited (UK) Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to develop their skills and knowledge in commercial insurance underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients, providing timely and accurate underwriting decisions.
  2. Learn and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  3. Process a variety of work, including policy administration, claims handling, and risk assessment.
  4. Support underwriters in the development of new business opportunities and the growth of existing relationships.
  5. Pursue ongoing learning and self-development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of two years' experience in insurance, preferably within the Property and Casualty sector.
  2. Exposure to commercial insurance is essential, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles and practices.
  3. Strong analytical skills, with a confident and positive attitude.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  5. Minimum C grade in Math and English at GCSE level; A-Levels preferred.

  1. Salary Circa £30,000- £35,000, negotiable based on experience.
  2. Discretionary quarterly bonus scheme.
