Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: London Borough of Merton

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a young person in a primary school setting. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the student receives a high-quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs
  • Assist the teaching staff in delivering lessons and activities
  • Support the student's learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals

Requirements:

  • 1:1 or 2:1 degree in a relevant field
  • Understanding of special educational needs
  • Experience working with children (personal or professional)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
