About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a Resource Base with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with ASD on a 1:1 and small group basis in the Resource Base
  • Work in and out of the classroom with students to provide individualized support
  • Develop and maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
Requirements
  • Good academic record, including A-levels and GCSEs
  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD
  • Calm and compassionate nature, with the ability to remain patient and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
