Job Overview

The HR Advisor is a key position within the People and Engagement Team delivering a professional advice service to a designated area and supporting the HR Business Partners across CATS Global Schools. Working on a hybrid working arrangement based at our Head office or at our school with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support, advice, and guidance to line managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relations issues, and organizational change.
  • Manage own ER case work, support the HRBP with case work varying from Absences, Grievance, and Disciplinary.
  • Support with HR Administration for general queries and employee life cycle.
  • Promotes employee engagement, analyzing the data from engagement surveys and working with the schools to proactively implement actions.
  • Champions the completion of good quality annual appraisals and supports any gaps in learning needs.
  • Delivers and supports the business on a wide range of HR projects.
  • Attends as a panel member where required, at interview and selection events for senior candidates and contributes to the decision-making process relating to the most appropriate choice of candidate.

Essential Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified Level 5/7
  • Good knowledge of employee relations and employment legislation, along with experience of working on a range of employee relations aspects
  • Experience of HR Information Systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driven to continually seek out areas for own and business improvement
  • Pro-active approach to work and problem-solving, and the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience within the education sector
  • Experience and/or training in safeguarding regulations and practice
