Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Neurodiversity Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young people within Powys. This role involves providing specialized positive attachment services to children and young people, focusing on those whose communication, thinking style, and coping strategies are impacted by neurodevelopmental disorders.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support to young individuals experiencing challenges related to their neurodiversity.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to promote positive attachment and emotional well-being.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique needs of each client.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals involved in the young person's care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and interventions.
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment for all clients.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of attachment theory and its impact on child development.
