Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Children's Support Worker. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 who present a range of emotional, behavioural, and complex interpersonal needs.

About the Role:
  • Provide support and guidance to young people to enable them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a homely and friendly culture within the home.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Support young people in developing their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people and ensure their safety at all times.
Requirements:
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable but not essential.
  • 1-year experience in a residential children's home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A full driving licence is essential as you may be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • Ability to work the shift pattern (8am-10pm plus sleep ins).
