About the Role

Questech Recruitment Ltd is representing a prominent and reputable food production company seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Team Leader. This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of food safety and quality within your designated area.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Team Leader, you will:

  • Drive Quality Objectives: Focus on reducing complaints, minimizing foreign body incidents, and enhancing First Time Right (FTR) metrics.
  • Lead Quality Initiatives: Take charge of quality management within your area to mitigate losses.
  • Promote Quality Culture: Foster a strong commitment to quality across the team.
  • Manage Quality Incidents: Engage in root cause analysis and ensure that corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Conduct Investigations: Handle consumer complaint inquiries to provide insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review Quality Systems: Update and communicate quality management systems, including HACCP and QMS.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Engineering, or a related Quality discipline.
  • Proven experience in quality roles within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environments, specifically in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • A track record of successfully implementing quality assurance programs and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve quality targets.
  • Participation or leadership in improvement projects that yield measurable quality enhancements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and food safety protocols.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000, commensurate with experience, along with additional company benefits and potential bonuses.
