Job Title: Senior Battery Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Test Engineer to join our team at Element Materials Technology. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the expansion of our battery testing business.

Job Summary:

The Senior Battery Test Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing on-site testing of customer-provided products based on provided standards or specifications. This includes understanding designs and schematics, validating project scope, equipment test setup, and script writing, as well as delivering customer results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage on-site testing of customer-provided products
  • Provide technical and engineering leadership in the development of new technologies and test setups for custom battery testing requests
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers
  • Oversee standard and/or routine technical problem-solving activities
  • Communicate project status and test results to customers, commercial team members, and management throughout testing
  • Provide input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers and internal investments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or testing-related field, preferably with a focus in electrical, electrochemical, or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of safely testing cells, batteries, modules, EV packs, and/or Electrical Energy Storage Systems is essential
  • Experience using various software or similar programs for EV battery testing is preferred
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety, assessments, and safety system implementation and quality management systems is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, organization, time-management, and customer service skills
