Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an asset data-led approach to manage the development and maintenance of the multi-million pound annual and long-term plans.
- Coordinate and develop asset inventory data, condition data, deterioration modelling, lifecycle plans, whole-life costs, and service levels to meet national standards.
- Develop, monitor, and review the Asset Management Policies and Strategies, ensuring timely data collection and interpretation to influence decisions and support proactive performance management.
- Ensure the long-term planning of the authority's highways assets, owning, developing, and ensuring the delivery of the requirements of the Highway Asset Management Framework, Highway Asset Management Strategy, Highway Asset Management Policy, Highway Asset Management Plan, and Highway Asset Management Procedures.
- Extensive experience within the Highways and Transport sector, with developed knowledge and understanding of Asset Management software, industry codes of practice, processes, and procedures.
- Experience working across the Highways department and other relevant departments, with elected members, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
- Proven technical experience in a highway or civil engineering-related field, with evidence of continuous professional development and industry-related knowledge in the highway environment.
- Level 5 qualification requirements, including applied and theoretical knowledge through relevant experience associated with a professional or academic qualification of equivalent Professional technical qualifications where required.
