Lead Pavement Renewal and Asset Management

National Highways is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes in the East region. As a key member of the Pavement Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the strategic road network safely meets customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety needs of customers and employees are fully considered throughout project planning and delivery.
  2. Asset Management: Provide support in identifying and managing asset studies and survey works, prioritizing needs to maintain assets in serviceable condition.
  3. Technical Briefs: Develop technical works briefs for procurement of external design resources and survey works.
  4. Asset Expertise: Leverage expert asset management knowledge, including asset condition assessment, degradation modeling, and risk management.
  5. Design Standards: Apply knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards to the highway network.
  6. Infrastructure Experience: Bring experience in highway infrastructure design, construction, and delivery methods to the role.
