Job Description

Job Title: EC&I Design Engineer

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EC&I Design Engineer to join our team at Delkia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing safety-critical systems for our clients in the Clean Energy, Aerospace, Maritime, and Defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for safety-critical applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with client specifications and engineering standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical reports
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure that subsequent design meets project and client requirements
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and apprentices

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of EC&I design software, such as Autocad Electrical or E-Plan P8
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National
  • Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software
  • Plant process knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies, such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, MIS/HLS
