Tesco Bank Foreign Exchange Consultant – Travelex – Part Time

Job Type: Permanent/Part Time

Weekly Hours: 16 hours

Compensation: £12.50 per hour + Monthly Bonus

Shift Patterns: This role is ideal for individuals who possess flexibility and can accommodate various shifts throughout the week. Depending on your team, you will receive a monthly or weekly schedule.

As a vital member of the Tesco Team, you will be positioned at the core of a vibrant retail environment, assisting our customers with their foreign exchange needs and ensuring their travel experience begins seamlessly. Our goal is to support our customers by being adaptable to their needs and fulfilling their currency requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Building and nurturing relationships with customers to better understand their travel and currency needs, tailoring their experience according to their destination Positioning yourself as a currency exchange ambassador and trusted advisor, offering support and insights on excellent Travelex products and services Engaging with customers to accurately and efficiently process all foreign exchange transactions Meeting key performance objectives, focusing on procedural, operational, and customer satisfaction metrics Applying attention to detail to manage daily online foreign exchange requests and deliveries Upholding best practice legal and regulatory standards while adhering to Travelex compliance protocols

Required Qualifications:

Strong numerical skills – You should have a solid understanding of numbers as you will be handling significant amounts of cash and various currencies regularly. Proficient in IT – You will be working with computer systems and in-house till systems throughout the day. Comprehensive training will be provided; however, a basic understanding will be advantageous. Excellent Communication Skills - You should find it easy to engage with people and build relationships. Being a good listener who understands customer needs is essential. Ambition to Succeed – You should possess the drive and vision to make a meaningful impact, enjoy your work, and care about the impression you leave on others.

Interview Process Overview:

Step 1 – Our Talent Acquisition Partners or Bureau Managers will review your application and reach out if your experience aligns with our needs for an initial screening call. Step 2 – You will be invited to an online interview with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners, where we will provide more insights into Travelex and the role while learning more about you. A small numerical assessment will also be included due to the nature of the role. Step 3 – If successful, you will be invited to visit the bureau to meet the Bureau Manager in person and observe the working environment. The Bureau Manager will provide further details about daily responsibilities and answer any questions you may have. Step 4 – If the bureau visit is successful, we will extend an offer for you to join Travelex as our newest team member. If not, we will still reach out to provide constructive feedback.
