About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Director to lead our client's hospital in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hospital's financial and operational performance, including leading the Senior Management Team (SMT), managing cost control and budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Senior Management Team (SMT) to achieve business planning, financial performance, and care quality standards.
  • Ensure the hospital meets its targets for financial performance and care quality standards.
  • Chair the monthly Clinical Governance Meetings and quarterly Medical Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies, manage staffing levels, and control agency costs.
  • Promote staff engagement and cultivate a culture of excellence in care delivery.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive senior-level experience in a similar setting, with strong operational and financial planning skills. Experience in commercial accountability, including cost control and financial performance, is essential. The candidate should also have significant managerial and leadership experience, with a deep understanding of healthcare service development and a proven track record of success and innovation.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks is also essential.
