Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker for Special Needs Children
Job Summary:
Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker to join our team at a vibrant Special Needs SEND school in Oldham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting special needs children in their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Support children with complex and/or medical difficulties, including Autism ASD, Dyslexia, Aspergers Syndrome, Hearing or Visual Impairment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility, as needed.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with special needs children is preferred but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service / or commitment to apply.
