About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Oldham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of additional needs, including those with lower literacy levels, English as a second language, and Special Education Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing educational strategies tailored to each child's learning goals.
  • Develop trusting relationships with children and communicate effectively with them.
  • Foster an inclusive environment, ensuring all children have equal access to learning and growth.
  • Encourage children's participation and engagement during lessons.
  • Provide opportunities for developing independence.
  • Offer feedback to children, parents, and caregivers on their development, achievements, and potential areas of improvement, as directed by the teaching team.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils.
  • A drive to inspire and motivate children.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
