Insurance Subsidence Specialist

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Job Purpose:To provide professional subsidence and surveying services in connection with domestic and commercial buildings insurance claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own workload efficiently and effectively to achieve business objectives and meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:- Visit damaged properties to assess technical and insurance aspects required to resolve insurance claims and to reinstate damaged buildings.
- Understand, implement, and comply with company procedures and policies, and actively promote the principle of treating customers fairly.
- Liaise with clients, policyholders, local authorities, third parties, claims handlers, and other work colleagues as required.
- Maintain and update accurate records on the company claims management IT system.
- Work on own initiative and manage a portfolio of work within a regional area and assist in other areas as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an appropriate discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, or similar. They will also possess excellent communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
They will be responsible for reporting to the Head of Subsidence and Surveying and will liaise with Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, Loss Adjusters, Support Staff, Clients, Customers, and Suppliers as necessary.
