Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Learning and Childcare Practitioner to join our team at West Lothian Council. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in developing and promoting high-quality learning experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive learning programs for children aged 3-5 years
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to early years education and care
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on early years best practices and policies
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early years education and care

Requirements

  • Hold a HNC/SVQ3 qualification in Early Education and Childcare or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an early years educational setting
  • Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment
