About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our accounting and finance department in the industrial / manufacturing industry. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the entire cost accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the entire cost accounting function, including cost variance analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department, driving process efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ relevant degree/ professional qualification in Accountancy.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and team working skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
